The Environment: Studio & Garden
The Studio
Our studio is a curated, low-stimulation environment featuring natural materials and accessible shelving. Every "job" and tool has its place, encouraging children to choose their activities, concentrate deeply, and take pride in their mastery of the space.
The Garden
Our garden is an extension of the classroom. Through the mud kitchen and planting areas, children engage in "practical life" skills—pouring, scooping, and nurturing living things—fostering a deep, calm connection to the natural world.

At Patter Place, we believe childcare costs should be straightforward and stress-free. We’ve removed the hidden extras so you can plan your family budget with confidence.Daily Rates and InclusionWe offer an all-inclusive approach to your child's day.
- Full Day Rate (Standard): £65 (Capped)
- Half Day (Standard): £35 (Capped)
- Joining Fee: £0
- Consumables Fee: £0
- What’s Included: All healthy meals and snacks, as well as local day trips.Note on Toiletries: To ensure we respect each child’s skin sensitivities and dietary needs, parents are asked to provide their own nappies, wipes, change of clothes, sun cream and infant formula.Government Funding & SupportWe are fully committed to making childcare accessible through various schemes.
- Tax-Free Childcare: We are registered for the government’s tax-free childcare scheme.
- Funded Hours: We accept all government-funded childcare hours for eligible children.Attendance & Flexibility- Minimum Stay: We typically request a minimum of 3 full days per week to help children settle and build strong bonds. However, we are happy to discuss exceptions based on your family's needs.
- Absences: You are not required to pay during periods of absence (e.g., family holidays) as long you adhere to our notice period policy.Hours of Care

12:30 PM – 5:30 PMWe’ve designed these hours to provide hours of high-quality care and engagement for your child while aligning with working patterns.If you have specific scheduling needs outside of these times, please let us know.Payments & Late PolicyTo keep our administration efficient and secure, we operate a digital-only payment system.
- Accepted Methods: Bank transfers or Tax-Free Childcare payments. We do not accept cash or cheques.
- Late Pick-ups: We ask that all children are collected by the end of their scheduled session. To ensure our team can finish their day on time, any collections after will incur a charge of £15 per 15 minutes. However, as long as late pick-ups aren't a regular occurrence, we are always happy to be flexible and supportive!
